Day 1

PM – Arrival

Upon arrival in to Singapore, an English speaking guide will be there to greet you and assist you with your transfer and check in to the hotel.

Day 2

Colourful Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in Chinatown, Singapore

AM – Chinatown and Buddha Relic Temple

Begin your tour of Singapore with a visit to Chinatown and discover the rich heritage of Chinatown through insightful stories of Singapore’s largest ethnic group, the Chinese. Once you have finished in Chinatown make your way to the Buddha Relic Temple,. one of the oldest Buddhist-Taoist temples on Singapore Island. Follow this up with a visit to Kampong Glam, where you will learn more about the Malay culture along with a visit to the magnificent Sultan Mosque.

PM – Little India

Our final visit for the culture tour is to Little India, a haven of Indian culture and ethnicity that embodies the vibrant and colourful pulse of the Indian community in Singapore. Explore the colourful streets and markets, and visit the Sri Veeramakaliamman Temple, a 100 year old Hindu Temple. This afternoon, proceed to the National Museum. With a history dating back to its inception in 1887, the National Museum of Singapore is the nation’s oldest museum.

Day 3

AM – Urban Redevelopment Authority

This morning is our first visit to the Singapore City Gallery situated at the Urban Redevelopment Authority. The gallery is specially designed for self-discovery and learning of Singapore’s planning journey through its many interactive exhibits. Student’s will enjoy a in-house guided tour along with viewing architectural models and enjoy various interactive and experiential exhibits throughout the gallery.

PM – Marina Bridge and Gardens by the Bay

In the afternoon proceed to the Marina Barrage for a in-house guided tour. Built across the mouth of the marina channel, the Marina Barrage creates Singapore’s 15th reservoir and the first in the heart of the city. With a catchment area of 10,000 hectares, the Marina catchment is the island’s largest and most urbanised catchment. Included is a guided educational tour of the Sustainable Singapore Gallery, Green Roof, Solar Panels and the Marina Barrage.

On our final visit, we proceed to the Gardens by the Bay which provides students with an opportunity to experience the development of modern Singapore. Set on 54 hectares the complex consists of two climate conservatories. Appreciate the unique technologies for long term conservation and sustainability. Students will enjoy the Super tree Grove, OCBC Skyway and two Conservatories.

Day 4

AM – NEWater

Start your day with a tour of NEWater. NEWater Visitor Centre is set up by PUB, Singapore’s national water agency. The centre showcases NEWater, high-grade reclaimed water that has found its place as a Singapore success story and the pillar of Singapore’s water sustainability. NEWater is produced from treated used water that is further purified using advanced membrane technologies and ultraviolet disinfection to make clean, safe drinking water. An educational tour in the NEWater Visitor Centre takes students through a guided tour of multimedia presentations, hands-on interactive games, and informative exhibits that explore the Singapore water story.

PM – Singapore Mobility Gallery

In the afternoon make your way to the Singapore Mobility Gallery. The gallery features seven exhibition zones that showcase various facets of Singapore’s comprehensive land transport system. The Gallery gives a behind-the-scenes look at how the Land Transport Authority plans, designs and builds Singapore’s transport system while balancing efficiency, liveability and inclusivity as it leverages technology for smarter urban mobility. The Gallery makes use of technology to create a rich and immersive learning experience for students.

Day 5

AM – Skygreens

This morning we visit Sky Greens which is the world’s first low carbon, hydraulic driven vertical farm. Using green urban solutions to achieve production of safe, fresh and delicious vegetables, using minimal land, water and energy resources. Sky Greens endeavours to becoming the world leading solution provider for integrated, sustainable and green urban agriculture technology. Students will enjoy a guided tour and get to learn about the farm and see for themselves how the high tech farm uses innovative technology to achieve high productivity in land scarce Singapore.

PM – Marina Bay Sands

In the afternoon proceed to Marina Bay Sands which is Asia’s leading destination for business, leisure and entertainment. Located in the heart of Singapore’s central business district, Marina Bay Sands iconic design and multi – dimensional offerings have transformed Singapore’s city skyline since it opened in early 2010. Take a closer look at how sustainability is embedded across innovative building and the use smart technology with sustainable design and practice. Our final visit is to the Skypark Observation Deck soaring 57 levels and 200 metres high above the city with stunning views of the Singapore skyline. From Marina South Pier all the way out to the Singapore Strait, we have a bird’s eye view of the bustling shipping lanes that have built Singapore’s rich multicultural history.

AM – HDB Gallery

This morning you will visit Housing & Development Board (HDB) Gallery. The gallery showcases HDB’s latest housing initiatives and bold planning ideas to provide affordable homes in a quality living environment. Capturing nearly six decades of Singapore’s housing journey, the revamped HDB gallery tells the HDB story through an immersive, multi-media experience. Visitors can walk through distinctively themed spaces to discover how our towns are planned and designed, and get up close and personal with the cutting-edge urban innovations and sustainability solutions that have helped improve the living environment for our residents.

PM – BCA Gallery and River cruise

After you visit the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Academy. At the BCA Gallery, visitors can look forward to an interactive journey through the various stages of development of Singapore’s built environment. From the formative years to the current developments and towards the future vision of the built environment, students will be able to gain useful insight into the past, the present and the future of our built environment.

Then, we will take you on a Bumboat River Cruise along the Singapore River. The Singapore River is like a witness to its history. On both sides of the river, you will see the colonial buildings, traditional Chinese shops, modern skyscrapers, each of them would tell you an exciting story of Singapore.

Day 7
