At 6 pm, gather for a welcome meeting to kick off your adventure. You’ll be staying at the Al-Liwan Hotel or a similar accommodation, providing a comfortable base for the journey ahead.
Day 2
We will visit Ajloun to visit Qala’t El-Rabad Castle, a historic site offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. Continue to Tel Mar Elias, believed to be the "home of the prophet Elijah," where you can explore the remains of two Byzantine churches, intricate mosaics, tomb chambers, and a baptistery.
Next, head to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities, often referred to as the "Pompeii of the East." Explore its colonnaded streets, the Oval Piazza, grand temples, theatres, and city walls, all offering a fascinating glimpse into Roman architecture and urban life.
Return to Amman to rest and reflect on the day's discoveries.
Day 3
Today, travel from Amman to Bethany, the site where Jesus is believed to have been baptized. Continue to Madaba to visit St. George’s Church, home to the oldest mosaic map of Jerusalem. In the same area, visit Mount Nebo, where Moses is said to have seen the Promised Land.
After exploring these key historical and religious sites, head to Petra for the next leg of your journey.
Day 4
Embark on your journey to Petra, the "rose-red city, half as old as time." Founded by the Nabataeans around 2,000 years ago, Petra is renowned for its stunning architecture and multi-coloured rock facades. This ancient city, with its intricate tombs and dwellings carved directly into the rock, is one of the world's most remarkable archaeological sites.
Your exploration begins with a horse ride, followed by a walk through the Siq, a narrow gorge flanked by towering cliffs. At the end of the Siq, you’ll be greeted by Petra’s most iconic monument, the Treasury. From there, continue to uncover the secrets of this ancient Nabataean capital, marveling at its well-preserved structures and rich history.
Day 5
Begin your journey along parts of the King’s Highway, stopping at Lot’s Cave and viewing Lot’s Wife Pillar from a distance. Continue to Machaerus, a hilltop fortress overlooking the Dead Sea, where Herod Antipas is believed to have imprisoned and beheaded John the Baptist.
Later in the day, meet a local priest at your hotel by the Dead Sea for a lecture on Christianity in Jordan, offering a deeper understanding of the region's religious history.
Day 6
Your trip concludes today. At the designated time, you will be transferred from the Dead Sea to Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) for your flight home. The drive to the airport takes approximately 45 minutes.
